Stashy ("we", "our", "the app") is a gift planning app developed by Renderei Martin GmbH. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
1. Data We Collect
Data you provide:
- People you add (names, birthdays, interests, gift ideas)
- Your wishlists and wishlist items
- AI chat conversations about gift suggestions
- Your Apple ID email address (if you sign in)
Data we do not collect:
- We do not access your full contacts list. Contact import is opt-in and only reads names, birthdays, and photos you explicitly select.
- We do not collect location data, browsing history, or device identifiers for advertising.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Local storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. The app works fully offline.
- Cloud sync (optional): If you sign in with Apple, your data is synced to our Supabase backend so you can access it across devices. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
- AI suggestions: When you use the AI gift advisor, relevant person context (name, interests, gift history) is sent to our server to generate suggestions. We use Anthropic's Claude API. No conversation data is stored on our servers after the response is generated.
3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: authentication and cloud sync (hosted in the EU)
- Anthropic (Claude API): AI gift suggestions
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store payments
Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Data Retention
Your local data remains on your device until you delete it. Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
5. Children's Privacy
Stashy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Your Rights
You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time. You can object to processing that is based on a legitimate interest (Article 21 GDPR). You can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). For data deletion requests or questions, contact us at hey@stashy.gift.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
